Why ConStrat AI is Personal
For me, ConStrat AI isn’t just a company. It’s a continuation of a story that started long before I ever wrote a line of code or stood in front of investors. It’s a story about legacy, lessons, and loss....and about what happens when hard work alone isn’t enough.
I grew up in a family of entrepreneurs. My father and grandfather owned Turk’s Paving, once the largest minority-owned asphalt paving company in Michigan during the 1970s and 1980s. They built roads, parking lots, and dreams — all from the ground up. Their work ethic was unmatched. Their reputation was gold. But despite all that, the company failed.
Why?
Because even the strongest businesses can crumble when they don’t fully know their numbers.
That lesson stayed with me. I’ve seen it from both sides first as a construction professional watching companies struggle to stay afloat despite doing great work, and later as a tech founder realizing how much data could change that story. Construction is a $2 trillion industry, yet it still suffers from one of the highest business failure rates in the country. Not because people don’t work hard — but because they don’t have the tools to see, understand, and act on their financial reality.
That’s why we built ConStrat AI. To make sure every construction company, from a small paving crew to a major contractor, truly knows their numbers.
We’re not here to replace relationships, handshakes, or tradition. We’re here to strengthen them. By giving companies real-time intelligence, we’re helping the industry evolve to where companies are judged on their current and future value, not just who they know or how long they’ve been around.
For me, this isn’t just technology. It’s a mission to rewrite the story my family — and so many others — have lived through.
Because the next generation of builders shouldn’t just build roads.
They should build wealth.
